Computer Club
The computer room is currently open from 9-5 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, and 3-5 pm on other weekdays. Scheduled classes are held some Friday afternoons . Club membership is $15, which includes one class (If you've already taken a class, see Carolyn to waive membership fee). The lab has been made possible in large part through funding from the Government of Canada through their Community Access Program (CAP).
The lab is free to use for adults members 55 and over, although we ask for a donation for use of the printer. We have four computers (watch for more...) fast internet access, volunteer mentors (ask Sophia if you're interested in becoming one) to help you get started, and a scanner.
Our computer lab coordinator is Sophia Kelly, who teaches the classes, looks after the computers and provides most of the orientations. In order to use the lab you need to have an orientation or have taken a class at the Lion's Den. Our 'Never Touched a Computer' class is suitable for beginners.
